TI-News.net is currently undergoing a pretty dramatic rewrite. Actually it's more of a delete-everything-start-over-new-write. Interested? I'm looking for a graphic designer and a developer (PHP and / or MySQL) or two. If that's you, shoot me an e-mail: webmaster@kevinjb.com." http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000451 Tue, 30 Nov 1999 00:00:00 -0800 The future of ti-news http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000450 Announcements Jake and I have unfortunately slowly lost interest in ti-news.net, and it has reached the point where it is impractical for us to actively maintain the site and handle the web hosting. If anyone is interested in maintaining the site, or even solely has a good use for the domain, please email me at emmarion {at} gmail * com, hopefully before August 15. Anyone who currently depends on our website, such as those who use our project pages, should try to find other arrangements before September 1. We are not guaranteeing any service after this date. Thank you. http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000450 Sun, 29 Jul 2007 18:51:48 -0700 Invalid Tangram DE http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000449 TI-83/83+ ASM I am happy to release my primary calculator project for the last month or so, Invalid Tangram for the TI-83+/SE/84+/SE series. Invalid Tangram can best be described as a cross between Space Invaders and Tetris. Build block combos to gain powerups, then blast the enemies into oblivion while avoiding destruction. Instead of health, you have time: powerups add to your time, but enemy shots can remove it. Run out of time and the game ends. Invalid Tangram DE is based on the PC game by Josh Szepietowski and is available for both Doors CS 6.0 and Ion. The contest will be timed, beginning Friday, July 6th, at 8:00 pm EDT, when we will post the "challenge" that you will attempt to complete within a 48-hour period, ending Sunday, July 8th, at 8:00 pm EDT. A possible example of a challenge would be: Create a physics program in which a ball bounces around the screen, being acted upon by virtual gravity and any other forces that you can come up with. You would then be given 48 hours to create the program and submit it. See CalcG.org for more details on the contest. http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000448 Sat, 30 Jun 2007 20:28:28 -0700 New Archive - ti-filebase http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000446 Announcements Hi guys, I'm proud to present you a new website for ti-calculators which is upcoming - the ti-filebase. http://ti-filebase.vistabob.ch It's german so I'm not sure if you can use it - but I think some of you do speek german ;) That's it - bye :) http://www.ti-news.net/viewthread.php?id=00000446 Sat, 05 May 2007 06:48:26 -0700
